Based in Budapest or Szeged, this role will take ownership of existing production revenue processes, critically assess their effectiveness, and design and implement improved controls and procedures where gaps exist. This is a hands-on leadership position for a seasoned professional who can operate independently, bring structure to complex multi-country reporting, and partner closely with technical, operations, and finance teams to ensure production volumes and revenue are captured completely and accurately. Key ResponsibilitiesReview current production revenue accounting processes across Hungarian and Croatian assets to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and control weaknesses.Design, document, and implement new or improved processes and internal controls to ensure the complete, accurate, and timely recording of production volumes and associated revenue.Own the end-to-end production revenue cycle: volume allocation, pricing, revenue recognition, accruals, and variance analysis between reported and measured/sold volumes.Reconcile production and sales volumes reported by operators, field teams, and third-party purchasers against internal accounting records; investigate and resolve discrepancies.Ensure compliance with Hungarian and Croatian regulatory, royalty, and fiscal reporting requirements related to hydrocarbon production and revenue.Partner with production engineering, operations, land, and marketing teams to obtain and validate production and sales data.Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual production revenue reporting packages for management, joint venture partners, and external auditors.Support month-end and year-end close processes, including revenue accruals, true-ups, and audit schedules for production revenue.Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation for production revenue accounting to support consistency, training, and succession planning.Identify opportunities to leverage systems and automation to improve data accuracy and reduce manual reporting effort.Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors on matters related to production revenue.Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior accounting staff involved in production revenue processes.Könyvelés; Pénzügyi, Számviteli vezető; Számviteli munkatárs
